# Heatmap

## <mark style="color:green;">How to Read the Heatmap</mark>

Each tile represents a token. The tile’s **size**, **color**, and **tooltip data** tell you everything you need to know at a glance:

<figure><img src="/files/IoAYC5YHFQPdA3qStkp3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

1. <mark style="color:$info;">**View Selector -**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">Trending or Meme Zone categories</mark>
2. <mark style="color:$info;">**Timeframe -**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`5m`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">,</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`1h`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">,</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`6h`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">,</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`24h`</mark>
3. <mark style="color:$info;">**Size By -**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`Market Cap`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">,</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`Volume`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">,</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`Turnover`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">, or</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`Liquidity`</mark>
4. <mark style="color:$info;">**Color By -**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">price change % over the selected timeframe</mark>
5. <mark style="color:$info;">**Token Tile -**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">shows logo, ticker, price change %</mark>
6. <mark style="color:$info;">**Tooltip on Hover -**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">see extra info:</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`Market Cap`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">,</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`Volume`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">,</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`Liquidity`</mark><mark style="color:$info;">, and</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`Buys/Sells`</mark>
7. <mark style="color:$info;">**Color Sensitivity**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">- sets the price change range that defines the red/green intensity; the deeper the shade, the bigger the move</mark>

## <mark style="color:green;">Size By Options</mark>

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/v6iar3NU4ENMWJhUCkJI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Control what determines the size of each tile:

* <mark style="color:$info;">**Market Cap**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">– Larger tokens appear bigger</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">**Volume**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">(5m / 1h / 6h / 24h) – Highlights trading activity</mark>
* [<mark style="color:$info;">**Turnover**</mark>](#user-content-fn-1)[^1] <mark style="color:$info;">(5m / 1h / 6h / 24h) – Shows how often a token’s supply is rotating</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">**Liquidity**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">– Emphasizes tradability</mark>

## <mark style="color:green;">Color By Options</mark>

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/G04pLatb7ZDmqj1RQDMY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

This changes how tiles are colored based on price performance:

* <mark style="color:$info;">**5m, 1h, 6h, or 24h Price Change**</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">Green = Price increase</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">Red = Price decrease</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">Gray = No significant change</mark>

## <mark style="color:green;">Color Sensitivity</mark>

<figure><img src="/files/OXNRXcZ8ECA7esAobO5A" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can fine-tune the color contrast using **Color Sensitivity**. This allows you to:

* <mark style="color:$info;">Highlight small fluctuations (±9%, ±18%)</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">Focus only on extreme price moves (up to ±1000%)</mark>

### <mark style="color:orange;">Example</mark>

Here’s an example of the **Meme Zone Heatmap** with:

* <mark style="color:$info;">Timeframe:</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`1h`</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">Size by:</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`1h Volume`</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">Color by:</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`5m Price Change`</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">Color Sensitivity:</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">`±18%`</mark>

<figure><img src="/files/s5waZ3xT5WELqKJGNW6y" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### In this view:

* <mark style="color:$info;">**YYY**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">dominates the screen in size due to its large volume, with its 5m price change at +13.59</mark><mark style="color:$info;">**%**</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">**EDGAR**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">shows a gain of</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">**+21.44%**</mark> <mark style="color:$info;"></mark><mark style="color:$info;">and holds a respectable tile size with lower volume</mark>
* <mark style="color:$info;">Other lower 1h volume tokens (right to bottom-right) show a range of activity but take up less visual space, letting you zero in on the market movers quickly.</mark>

[^1]: **Turnover** is calculated as **trading volume (number of tokens traded) × current price**. It measures how “actively traded” a token is relative to its size

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://xtrade.gitbook.io/docs/features-and-tools/heatmap.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
